Events at Cafe Euro this June and July
There is so much going on at Cafe Euro over the next Couple of Months.
Live bands, cinema, poetry and cabaret!
Friday 19th June
Caberet at Cafe Euro,
8-11pm Tickets £4 on the door- available from Cafe Euro before the event at £3. Featuring Hot Knives, Mr Hebert, Madame Zuchinni and Stewart Lodge as Compare. Word Life - US Slam Poet Special 2009
Start Time: *8:00pm*
A night of spoken word and music featuring:
"Mighty" Mike McGee is an international spoken word artist, writer,performer, speaker, slam poet and comic. He has performed in thousands ofvenues all over North America and in 2006, McGee became the first person towin two separate individual titles by being crowned the 2006 IndividualWorld Poetry Slam Champion, besting over 70 of the world’s best ranked slampoets. His "stand-up poetry" has been written about in Writer’s Digestmagazine, and been featured on American networks NPR, HBO
CBC.Derrick Brown, former paratrooper for the 82nd Airborne, gondolier,magician, and fired weatherman, now travels the world and performs hiswritten work. To date, Brown has performed at over 1200 venues anduniversities internationally including "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno, LaSorbonne in Paris and The Nuyorican Poets Café in NYC. He has won theCalifornia Independent Book Critics' Award in 2004 and his performancepoetry has won six first-place poetry slam finishes in Venice Beach,England, and Germany."Derrick Brown is one of the best living poets in America. Death to openmics. I always keep him on my radar." (Sage Francis, Hip Hop Artist)"Derrick has written one of the greatest love poems ever written. He is one of the top five poets in America, a true artist." (Marc Smith, author and creator of The National Poetry Slam)

Cafe Euro Carte starts at RAF Lakenheath
Today was the start of our sister company Cafe Euro Carte.
Justine and George started at 5am this morning to be ready for 6am to serve Cafe Euro blend espresso based coffees to early commuters to their posts at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk.
The unique little coffee van certainly made a great impression as did the coffee.
We will keep you updated on this exciting new coffee experience over the next few weeks.
