August at Cafe Euro
We are open as normal over August, except shut on Bank Holiday, wouldn't it be great if all shops etc were closed on Bank Holidays?
The Coffee van is at the Botanical Gardens For Heartbreak productions - The Secret Garden - from the 10th to the 13th of August. I highly recommend this production set in the wonderful Botanical Gardens of Sheffield - Bring a picnic a few family and friends and make an event of it.
We are at the moment working on a DVD on coffee making, when done there will be some footage on this Blog for you to have a look at.
Lets hope for a great August!!

Cafe Euro is having a little holiday
Well after all busy weeks and months we have had over the last year we have decided to take a little holiday so the cafe will be closed from 2pm on Friday 9th July and re-opening again on Thursday the 15th of July at our normal time of 8am.
Our little espresso van will still be hard at work though over that period, serving coffee to all the discerning theatre goers at the Botanical Gardens in Sheffield where Heartbreak productions are performing one of their fantastic Shakespearean extravaganzas. Check out their website for more details.

Extreme weather conditions challenge a close-knit team of men battling to finish before winter closes in.
Signatures (50)
Skiing - 50 mins
Year Created: 2009
Director: Nick Waggoner
Wow, skiing in Japan looks quite literally out of this world. A most beautiful film with a mesmerising soundtrack and narration. At the heart of this lovely tale of deep powder mystery: the seasons. In Japan there is a cultural connection to the different Signatures of our terrestrial home-- a sense that the rhythm of fall, winter, spring, summer influences the rhythm of the person, their energy, their style, and the lines they choose. Niseko local photographer Yoichi Watanabe explains, "As a photographer, the change in season brings a change of subject. I have to be ahead of this change in nature, like I have to be thinking about flowers before they actually bloom in order to capture what really goes on. I can say the same about the snow as well." This is a the full film.

Endurance Rowing - 52 mins
Year Created: 2009

Inspirational Indian filmmaker and motorbike fanatic Guarav Jani keeps finding large tracts of his native country that are nigh on un-charted and previously little-explored. Mustang - A Journey Of Transformation
Culture - 29 mins
Year Created: 2009
Director: Will Parinello
Lost in time, the Himalayan kingdom of Mustang is one of the last sanctuaries of authentic Tibetan Buddhist culture. Long isolated by geography and politics, the people struggle to survive, and the centre of their culture - the 15th-century monasteries and the art within - is dangerously close to collapse. Narrated by Richard Gere and featuring the Dalai Lama, the film tells the compelling story of the efforts to rescue this ancient place from the brink of extinction and to help spark a cultural renaissance.
